"Silverfish"
Duration: three hours, 2006
Performed December 1st, 2006
Exhibition: I.P.G. UNCENSORED, Illy at Moroso, Milan, Italy.
Curator: Marina Abramovic
Standing on one of the six tables exclusively concieved for the IPG ILLY event I will be teasing the public with an Illy cup attached to a fishing rod. It would be great if the cup had the design of a fish. I will be dressed in silver and have a pair of chanel sunglasses in the shape of a fish. I will be teasing the public to come close to me and catch the cup which will assume the role of bate in this case and as bate we come to coffee... it's aroma and taste are one of the biggest bates of our modern society. The game gets more intangled as the public notices that the fisher himself is a sort of fish in reality and he/it is teasing from a big height the humans that have become like fish/prey in a deep pond or lake or even sea. The roles and the boundaries between the hunter: fish turned into human and the pray: human turned into fish bleach out as both sides notice the fake and realise that the bate... a coffee cup is the real hunter... The entire living sculpture becomes an in to modern luxury... that is to say: take your time, play with the world, enjoy the flirting and the teasing and what is better to describe it all then a cup of coffee used for a lap of over two hours and a pair of chanel sunglasses?
